Take a look at the UL-power manufacturing setup. Quite technologically advanced for such a young company. But cant go wrong with Rotax. But with more engines being available by more vendors will help pricing... I hope anyways.

That is very interesting. The fact that they get such great reliability without a large amount of automation is impressive! I just wish Honda or maybe Suzuki would get involved in making dedicated aircraft engines as well.

Thanks Bob for sharing the video. I have also been enjoying my Rotax engine. Now I have hours flown off and Spring almost here, excited to get some longer flights planned!

Yes, it's an impressive facility. I toured the factory a couple of years ago and left there duly impressed. The sport aviation industry is lucky to have a major player like Rotax continue to invest in our relatively small industry.

Boy am I glad I bought a Rotax. So far no problems except an oil sender that went bad. My carbs stayed synced at my 100 hour inspection, no adjustment needed, can idle at 1600 rpm smooth but keep it set for 1800. Burn on average about 4 gallons an hour so around $12 an hour to run. Glad to hear they test so thoroughly. With it so light I can put lots of baggage and still be LSA legal, around 80 pounds with wife and full fuel, long range tanks. Going to fly it today, just love it going off field. Thanks for the video
