My upgraded 601 takes its first flight
My upgraded 601 flew Monday February 22. It is the third 601 upgraded at Quality Sport Planes in Cloverdale California. It was one of two 601s upgraded at the same time in a 13 day period.

Hard to say what the next cross country will be for me.
I want to explore eastern Oregon and Washington.
In about two months when the weather gets predictably good I will head out with a bunch of "fast" ultra-lights from this area. It will be a big circle route: Lodi CA, Salt Lake UT, Moab UT, Down Colorado River to Page AZ, then back home via Southern CA. These guys fly slowly – 70-75 MPH. I have been practicing flights at those speeds – not too bad in a 601 – a 701 would be better.
Also have loose plans to fly to Alaska this summer with a 701 that is being built at QSP and will be based in Alaska.
