No full throttle run-ups unless you want to get airborne :)
You can usually rev up to 3000..4000rpm before the plane starts moving but sometimes it gets going right away when you start the engine, so you need to prepared for that. Then sometimes you're stuck and even full throttle will not get you moving...
You can test the magnetos while taxiing or during the take-off roll.
How do you perform run-ups with skies? At least with floats you can pull back on the stick and enter a "plow".
