Thanks for the reply. To fill you in further, a friend and I purchased a kit from ZAC almost 2 years ago but my retirement became postponed so very little has been done to that project. While visiting the Jabiru factory I decided to buy their firewall forward project plane and really love the performance, the efficiency, and the simplicity. The Jabiru people are very good to work with and when we get to the point of needing an engine for the kit in progress it will also be the Jab 2200.
I have a J-3R based at Reese airport (7I2) and Dwight Early keeps his 701 a few miles west of Reese. I am doing a little work on my 701 so when its back up in the air I would be happy to let you see for yourself how the Jabiru performs. I am normally there Sat. mornings.
