Zenith Builders -

As a newbie to building, a question for you all - I am finding the odd pilot hole too close to an edge - when I do this I have been putting in an additional rivet (according to Zenith recommendations), but do I put a rivet in the 'too close' hole, or just leave it empty?

Thanks,

Dan

I made my decision based upon whether the area would be visible or not.  Visible, fill it, Not readily visible, leave it. Cosmetic stuff..

Thanks - that makes a lot of sense to me!

On the ribs on my ch-701, the rib Flange was chamfered. putting the hole caused by the pre drilled hole in the skin too close to the edge. I added a piece of L to extend the flange to the spar to give the hole enough edge distance, which was approved by Zenith.

Thanks, Perry...do you have a pic you would be willing to share?

Dan
