Based on a discussion with Roger at Zenith I have been running 20 in the mains and 10-15 in the nosewheel. This recommendation has seemed to work well on my 808 pound empty weight CH750 STOL with the same tire setup.
Thanks, John. I appreciate the feedback.
I’m running 8-10 psi, all Carlisle, 701 on a bumpy grass strip,
Before going on amphibs, we were running 20 PSI all around for general flying off paved and improved grass strips. 15 PSI if flying off of bumpy stuff with softball sized chunks.
I found that if the nosewheel (Carlisle) was less than 15 PSI, it would rub the sidewall a bit on the fork when turning a corner at higher speed.
You can see where the "whiskers" have rubbed on the inside of the fork and left a shiny arc.
The black powdery stuff is scuffed up sidewall.
