Hi Jeremy
So you don't have a plane yet hey? Shame, shame, shame on you for joining or elite group of high flyers. Nah just kidding. Welcome to you. Building a plane is a very big financial and emotional commitment and can become a wild rollercoaster if done at the wrong time of your family life or without their support. So the more research you can do the better and you cannot access the model specific forums without membership.
Here is a big piece of advice. Teach your Son how to debur and your Wife how to rivet and your life will be great. They will love the envolvement and you will love not doing so much deburring but as a consequence you will miss out on the some of the best bit, riveting. Second bit of advice. Keep the wife busy with clecoes instead. Really mate, just enjoy it as a unit and all will be fine.
If you are considering moving to Mexico MO, been there nice place, I do strongly advise that you do some time with Bill at ALSA even if it's just the rudder & h/tail because working tollerances in aircraft are a fair bit tighter than everyday items so, Bill's ya man.
So sit back and adsorb as much as you can and ask as many silly questions as you can think of. That's how we learn.
Regards
Phill Barnes
Welcome to the family.
I wish you the all the best with your project.
If you ever get the chance to visit the Zenith factory please take the time to stop by our builder assist facility too. We like to have visitors here and we are right here in Mexico, Mo. just a couple of miles from them.
Take care and good luck,
