Outtakes from SwampSTOL 2025 practice runs

From last weekend's SwampSTOL competition in Louisiana, here are some outtakes of Sheldon Heatherington's practice runs in his Redbird STOL #SkyJeep.

While many STOL competitors fly high-horsepower (up to 300 hp!) aircraft with big bush tires (and even bigger budgets), Sheldon keeps it light and simple with his Zenith STOL CH 750. Powered by a 100-hp Rotax 912 ULS and flying on stock wheels, it’s proof you don’t need a big budget to have big fun.

Sheldon Heatherington also participated all week at the 2025 Sun 'n Fun STOL Invitational & Bushwheel Basecamp, with STOL flying demonstrations in his 100-hp Rotax-powered "Redbird STOL" CH 750 and meeting with fellow pilots and enthusiasts to discuss backcountry flying and piloting best practices.
