Just wondering if any of you guys got some real world number on airspeed and climb rate... also if you know what pitch setting you have on your prop. Thanks in advance..

hi jamie,

i have a sonex waiex with jab3300. the sonex factory was testing the ground adj sens. props on the aerovee and jab3300.

the props with the jab  started developing cracks near the hub. use caution and check for cracks. sonex never sold the gnd adj sens. props to jab engine fliers.

good luck with your testing. be safe!

About 400 hrs on my GA Sensenich prop/Jab 3300 - no cracks, no problems!  :>)

I have mine set at 16.5 degs. Its important to not over pitch the engine. During take off roll I get 3000 rpm and then climb out at easy 1000fpm. Max level rpm about 3250 and getting 115 kts. This is plenty fast enough and I cruise at 2800 and 105 kts. Best to set pitch a bit lower then slowly increase to get into right rev range during cruise. If you have EGT monitoring then you will see the EGT's rise as you throttle back, bing carby doing its thing. Enjoy your plane, the 3300 is a great match for the airframe.
