Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
I have a 914 going into my Cruzer and I have a centre pedestal throttle. I am interested in advice from anyone who might be able to suggest where I enter the engine bay through the firewall?
I can bring up the cables through a space between my avionics shelves, one each side separated with a 6" gap, and then splay them laterally and hopefully take a good route to the carbies, but I haven't got my engine mount on yet, or the engine. Those jobs are close but I want to avail myself of the easy access to the firewall to drill it and mount firewall penetrations etc. I was thinking above the firewall "Shelf" would be the logical, but until I get the engine on I don't have the clearest idea, although now is the time to prepare the firewall. I do have a friend who suggested one cable break right and the other break left, but then he had them tracking across the engine in a big loop and going to the opposing carby. That was confusing.
Any tips much appreciated.
Cheers.
