Finally got my cowling for the AM15 engine. Waiting on the 1 1/2" prop spacer to come in before I can fit the cowling. This has been a long wait. I've had the engine since Sept. 2020.

Hey John I'm using an aeromomentum AM13. I have a few questions. One thing I'm having trouble with right now is the throttle cable/linkage setup. I have a reversing bellcrank but there's too many moving parts. Could you share your arrangement? E-mail if possible. Thanks.
I took the throttle arm and moved it 180' so i'm pushing rather than pulling the throttle. This eliminates the use of a bell crank. Also puts the throttle cable a little higher under the cowling.
We also now have a cable housing bracket Part No. OP1-008

The throttle arm can be used in 4 different positions so should work as push or pull in most applications. For Zenith installations, push is the most common as the above picture.
I got my cowling also, but I'm having a lot trouble trying to make it fit on my 650. I've been assured that the firewall forward are the same on the 750 and the 650. I would appreciate talking with you and see how you made it work - obviously I'm doing something wrong.
I have the prop spacer now. If you look at my pics on my page you will see a wooden cut out the same size as my prop spinner back plate with a 1/4" ring glued to the inside edge to act as the space needed between your cowl and spinner. After installing the spacer, I will mount the wooden plate to the 1 1/2" spacer Mark recommended. Clamp your cowling to the wooden plate and fit it to the firewall skin. Hope no engine parts will touch the cowling. You will need to cut out for the nose gear, but not the exhaust. Remove the exhaust and cut it out after the cowl is fitted.
You waited a year and 5 months for a cowling?!!
No, I did not purchase the firewall forward kit till later. Can't remember right off hand but it took about six months due to covid and Mark having to find someone else to make the cowlings for him.
If (when) my Jabiru kicks the bucket, I believe I will go with an AM15 despite all the extra work and expense to fit a new cowl and engine mount. Looks like a winner!
