Years ago when I substituted a smooth bore radiator hose for the SCAT, I didn't have a part number. I simply went to a old-time auto part store that had big bins of assorted radiator hoses. They let me rummage through them until I found one of the correct i.d. and bend angle.

Check your hose to see if it has the coiled wire support. If it does not, look for one with a bend that will work and has the coil.
I took a welding rod and bent it to the shape I needed, then took that to the local NAPA dealer where I was able to view several different hoses. The hose you choose may have several bends - you'll have to use the portion of hose that has the correct bend.
Next cut a 4+/- inch piece of aluminum to fit the inside diameter of the hose and then do a large radius bend to match the hose bend. Slip the metal inside the hose bend vertically. By doing this it will reduce the flow of air turbulence entering the Bing Carb.
Good flying,
Mack
This is where I got mine from. They are made to take some negative pressure and not collapse. Mine has worked well for over 10 years.

That's a great source, David! Nice to know those hoses are actually intended for negative pressure. My radiator hose worked well and wouldn't collapse, but after I picked it out, they told me at the auto part store it was intended for a heavy truck application and had thicker walls than the usual auto radiator hose.
