Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
Hi All;
I’m at the early steps of fitting my instrument panel. All seems pretty straightforward except for the radio stack/rack.
I'm using a Garmin 327 xpndr and iCom radio, both traditional rack mount products. What did y’all do to provide a structure for the trays attachment point?
i believe a common approach is to just use L angle and span the distance between the cabin frame/panel and firewall. How did you fasten it on each end?
Any other simple but strong solutions?
Thanks!!

Hi Carl, This is what I did. All supported from the instrument panel. I did add a 0.040" doubler on the front of the panel to help support everything. Everything seems solid and has held up for 60 hours so far. Good luck!
Thanks, Clint... I like the way you can effectively remove the entire stack if need be in the future.
Aww, cmon.....no other suggestions?
