Hey all.

Wondering what people

have done with their back up circuit designs,

specifically for a single battery, single alternator set up. I plan on a switched back up to the battery from the ESS bus which has my fuel pumps and ECU on it. Ideas and examples would be welcome.

I used a UL Power engine panel from Wayne Lanza who produces Composite Design power panels.

It allows switching of 2 fuel pumps between ECU and direct battery as well as emergency power direct battery to ECU when turning the master switch off.

The unit has breakers for associated circuits and I have found it easy to use. Throw two toggle switches and I am in alternate fuel pump and direct battery power to my ECU if needed.

Just the one battery? I looked at the composite designs but it takes up too much panel space. I have a Skyview and an iPad mount. Plus AP, radio and such
I would be going that way if I could. I wonder if he make a compact unit?

Yeh , only one battery on a regular replacement schedule.

I have Skyview, Dynon intercom and radio, 2 Composite Design panels, Vans glove compartment, MGL fuel calculator and switches and throttle. A lot packed as close together as possible.
