Does anyone have pictures of how they installed fuel tanks in the baggage locker of the 601 HDS? I'm building a '92 HDS and don't really know how to install them using steel straps like my grandfather wanted.

Scott,

I've attached the original instructions from Zenith on installing the wing locker tank.  There are no dimensions on the parts, but it really isn't that critical.  The L's just keep the tank from sliding.  You should be able to figure out how long to make the strap.

I've also included 2 photos of my install.  I hope the drawing and the photos are of help in installing the tanks.  If you need more info I can take more photos when I go to the airport the next time.

Excellent! This is far simpler and more elegant then what some of the old-timers at the airport wanted me to do!
