Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
After putting a little over 20 hours in 4 days I got back home to find oil all over the aircraft belly and lower cowling. After cleaning I found the #5 cyl lower rear stud nut had broken off. I’m not sure how or why and if I can fix it myself. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Jabiru uses a combination of throughbolts and studs, but I don't know which is located at this position. I'd contact Nick at Arion Aircraft (nick@flylightning.net) and get his advice. (Arion is the North America distributor and repair center for Jabiru.) Let us know what he says!
