All,

I am currently reviewing my Dynon EMS warning settings and would like input from others as to what those targets should be, not just what I am currently experiencing.

Seeking your experience on normal values for:

CHT

Oil Pressure

Fuel Pressure

Amps

Voltage

At idle with hot engine my oil pressure will drop to 25 psi. Cruise oil temp of 185-195 degrees.  Amps will jump from 12 -20 during flight. Fuel pressure at 2700 rpm cruise jumps from 47-50 psi. Voltage of 14.1 at cruise. What values are other 350i user’s experiencing?

I run steam gauges with electric artificial horizon and the Dynon EMS. No transponder. Radio. LED lights.

And yes I have read the charts in the install manual. Just looking for data from other

I can't answer the equipment (engine/aircraft) specific stuff, but your voltage at normal cruise should be between 13 and 16 volts. 14.2 is the optimum target, so yours is fine at 14.1. The extra 2.2 volts over 12 insures your battery stays charged. Anything 16 volts or higher is dangerous for your electronics. Anything 13 volts or lower probably won't charge your battery, and could also damage electronics, though that's not as likely as it is with an overvoltage. Most likely it will just stop working normally until the undervoltage is corrected. If your voltage hovers around around 12 at cruise, your alternator isn't working, or, if applicable to your setup with the 350i, you have it turned off. Current will change with different equipment, and even at different times with the same equipment, particularly at startup, so defining limits for that is more difficult. Absent some guidance provided with your specific equipment, or the experience of others with similar equipment, you may end up establishing those limits yourself based on your operations. Hopefully someone like that can contribute more.

My Dynon HDX with a 350is (190 hours on the engine) numbers are pretty consistent at:

CHT: 220-230 range

EGT:  1250 to 1300 range

Oil Press:  around 45psi

Fuel Press: around 45psi

Amps: around 19-21 (depending if I have lights on...)

Voltage:  14.1

Ralph, this is a screenshot from a while back, but is typical for my current flights except for oil temps which are now running cooler with the AeroClassic cooler
