First Flight
So this evening, the rudder kit purchased on April of 2005 took its maiden flight. Of course there were a few more parts attached to it. The flight was uneventful even though I wound up with some electrical concerns. My COM stopped working.
A little elevator trim and then some Aileron trim.
The video attached is a short clip from my wife's phone, thus the rotation!! I'll get a first flight video shortly.
All one can say is you will never forget it!

I envy you. My rudder is not yet ready to push an airplane through the sky, it is being very patient against the wall while it waits for the rest of the parts to assemble themselves.

Congrats, Rich! I occasionally fly over to KMBT to visit my brother, so if you see another green Zenith, by all means say "hello!" Hope your face is not too sore - the first flight grin is a humdinger! ;>)

No sir ! I'm still grinning. I do have several problems. Nothing to stop me from flying but thinks I need to pay attention to. Tonight or tomorrow, I'll remove the clowning and look for leaks and other signs of concerns. Check cable tensions and go again!
