Hey Guys, where might I find a Bing 94 CV carb for my 3300?

If you're OK with used, put an ad in our Classifieds/For Sale Forum and see if any of our members have one. (Open Forum doesn't allow ads or "want to buy" posts.  But, perfectly OK to ask for sources in the Open or Engine Forums!

If no luck with our members, I'd talk to Nick Otterback at  Arion Aircraft, as they are the US source for Jabiru engines and parts.  They could likely get you a new carb from Jabiru, but  they might have an engine being parted-out and could sell the carb - even overhaul it for you if necessary, or could give you a lead on a used carb.

For a new carb, Bing Agency International is the US distributor for Bing carbs and parts.  They have disclaimers all over their website that there is "no liability for use in aircraft," but I have bought parts from them before, told them it was for my plane, and they showed absolutely no hesitancy to sell me the parts.

If you're wanting a used carb and have trouble finding one, there is a Jabiru and CAMit Engines Group on Groups.io.  There are several members with alternative carburetors (Rotec, AeroInjector), so they might have a Bing they would sell.  Only caution is that a lot of these members experiment and you'd want to be sure the carb was unmodified, or at least know exactly what was done to the carb - a drilled-out jet, for example, can easily be replaced.

I've got an alternative carb (Sonex AeroInjector) on my 3300 and am very happy with it.  It has its quirks and isn't quite "plug and play" - like a lot of things, there's a learning curve to be conquered but I like that sort of thing! Ha!  I still have my Bing but would not sell it since (heaven forbid!) if I ever had to sell my plane, it might be a deal-breaker if I didn't have the original carb available to go with the deal.

I just removed my Bing for an aeroinjector.  Was working fine but I got bored and started "improving".  Ported; and has extra needles.  Also have the dual throttle, air filter box, engine fuel pump, and facet electric fuel pump.  No reasonable offer refused for any or all.

I believe Nick had several parted out carbs when I took the engine class a couple of months ago. Keep in mind that, although the carb may not be modified, it still may not be jetted properly for your aircraft. Nick can help you with that too.
