Jab 6 Engine mount
Hi all, have decided the fit a new Gen 4 Jab motor to my CH650 kit build and have been trying to get a copy of plan 6-JE-1 that was available when I got my plans. But now Zenith dont do them anymore and during this pandemic thing they have been working from home and my local agent (4000km) away can't seem to find a person that can help him. I would like to think they would have a copy somewhere. So its out to the builders to see if I can find a set of drawings. I live in Perth Western Australia and belong to the Sports Aircraft Builders Club (sabc.org.au) we have 100 acre property and rules are that 60% of aircraft on the feild MUST be home built so making an engine mount is the way to go.

In the US, the Jabiru engine mount for Zenith aircraft is supplied with the firewall-forward kit obtained from the US Jabiru distributor,Arion Aircraft. I'm sure they would have a mount for your plane, but I realize shipping to Australia would be $$$! I have no idea if they sell drawings, but it would be worth a query to Nick Otterback, the Arion manager.
I'm sure you know the Gen 4's mounting is compatible with previous generations of Jab 3300's, so a used mount from another 601/650 with a previous generation Jab 3300 would work, too, if you could find one.

AFAIK that page should have come standard with your plans. I don't understand why you say "Zenith don't do them anymore" because as far as I know the mount hasn't changed with the Gen 4. At least I hope not.

Hi Bob, Apparently things have changed, Zenith don't do FWF things anymore they are made by another aircraft kit company, Arion Lightning. Not a happy chappy. barry
