Today I saw a Facebook post from Edge Performance that they have completed design of an electric fuel injection system for the Gen 4 3300 - also, a second alternator and electronic ignition are part of the design!  They say they're moving into the prototyping development so they can test the design.  Their ultimate goal is to produce kits and perhaps even complete engines.  I've always been a bit ambivalent about making the Jab electrically dependent - the KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) principles have always worked well for me - but it will be interesting to see how much power and fuel economy they get out of the 3300!

BTW, Jabiru Aircraft is also working on a fuel injected 3300 - but Edge says that's a mechanical system - I don't know if that will be offered as a retrofit kit?  Looks like some exciting times are in the foreseeable future for Jabiru!
