Is there an oil quick drain valve that fits the Jabiru 3300? What the thread size? I notice there's only about 2" clearance between the oil sump and an exhaust header where the oil drain is located. I'm not sure if most quick drain valves would work well - a straight one would be awfully tight to that header. Is there a 90 degree valve or could one put an elbow in the sump?
Thanks,
John

Good Morning! Do you still recommend the Curtis drain plug? Getting ready for my first oil change (25 hours on new engine).
Thanks,
DAVE
Dave,
I installed the valve that Jay recommended back in 2012. It fit and worked great and 8 years and 635+ hrs later, it's still working great! :>)
Is the new engine a Jabiru Gen 4? If so, I will be looking forward to reports about your experience in the Jabiru Engine Forum!

N750A
Thanks for the quick response.
I recently purchased N750ZZ (original demo aircraft). I believe the engine that was installed in Oct 2018 is a GEN 3 (Model 3300A). Have a great weekend!
Thanks,
DAVE
