I purchase an old ch801 kit that was started 15-20 years ago. Getting ready to set it on gear so I am assembling the tires on wheel (800-6). Strange is the nose wheel. Came in three parts; two opposite sides and a 1 inch wide spacer ring in between. Does not fit together well and none of my hanger rat buddies has ever seen such a lash up. Anybody know anything about this wheel configuration? Thanks, Bill

Meant to say in the title that it is a Matco wheel, NW600CC that has the one inch spacer ring in between the wheel haves.
Hello fellow builders, checked with Dan N. builder from Tennessee says his nose wheel was/is just the two side haves. So wonder what I have in this kit?
This is purely a guess but perhaps the spacer is to make a wider rim. The 800-6 is a pretty big (and wide) tire and would not fit well on a skinny nose wheel intended for a smaller tire. Maybe the spacer is to give you a wheel width more suited to the large tire?
Matco is still in operation, have you tried contacting their technical people? Good luck!
Not yet. I’ll call next week. Still anybody out there have a spacer with their nose wheel.
Called Matco tech support fellow names George. Seemed to say spacers have been sent out with the nw600cc wheels, but did not seem to grasp that mine do not fit together well enough fit the three Allen wrench screws to hold the wheel sturdy together. Wants pictures. Anybody known how to send pictures? Bill
10 months have gone by so you probably have this resolved one way or another. Thought I'd reply just in case it helps someone else...
I also have the NW600CC wheel (kit purchased from Zenith ~2008). I've not had it apart yet, but it looks like you need to have that 1" spacer lined up just right to get the wheel bolted back together. See the attached file.
