Unfortunately the misguided weight limits on LSA aircraft are a huge obstacle to installing a BRS on an LSA. Hopefully that will change soon.

wouldn't something like this be lighter?
personally ill opt for a glide rather than float down with no control.
The army required parachutes in T-41, a Cessna 172!! in helicopters no such stuff. id like to see if any brs saves have helped our community, several cirrus with the chute have crashed with no deployment attempt, some used after running out of gas
