Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
There has been such a good response to the Viking Engines and UL Power forums that we've decided to add several more engine forums for the most popular engines used in Zenith aircraft! We're starting a Rotax Engine Forum, a Jabiru Engine Forum, a Corvair Engine Forum, and an AeroMomentum Engine Forum.
Hopefully, this will better organize the forums by concentrating engine questions and concerns within that brand's own forum. No longer will you have to search through several different Zenith type-specific forums to find engine information!
We invite owners, builders, and flyers of the various engines to participate in these forums and relate your experiences, problems, and successes! Some of the forums will be monitored by the respective engine manufacturer and they will answer your general or technical questions relative to that engine (all vendors have been invited but it is up to them as to if or how they chose to participate). We respectfully ask both vendors and the general membership to not conduct business on the forums such as order products, inquire as to the status of orders, etc. Please conduct business matters through the vendor's website and utilize their website for technical support of matters that would probably not be of interest on the forum.
Although we forbid commercial use of the forums, we do allow the vendors to supplement information with promotional pictures, videos, etc. in their respective forum but encourage them to direct you to their website for general sales information and other matters not relevant to the forum.
I hope you find these new forums useful and informative. As always, I sincerely thank you for your participation in the Zenith.aero forums!

How about a Lycoming, Franklin and Continental engines?
At least the Continental. As in the one that Zenith still sells FWF parts for. Some of us are building our own engines and would like to share/compare notes.
Carl and Gil,
Oops - Leaving out Lycoming and Continental was a glaring oversight on my part! However, I rarely see a Franklin mentioned in these forums and reviewing John Greiner's list of quite a few Zenith aircraft, I don't see a single Franklin among them, so I don't think that warrant's a separate forum, but any Franklin builders and flyers can still post to the Open or type-specific forums as necessary.
John
Thanks!
Looks great! Thanks John. This will prove to be very useful.
Do any of you with the 0-235 engine have small oil leaks? More like seepage than a real leak? I'm adding a quart of oil about 10 15 hours flight time, is that normal
gil
Gil unless you actually see a leak you're probably burning that much. I had a Lyc 360 in another plane, zero leaks but added a quart at about the frequency you mention
So when do Ly / Con get added? ;-)

Patience, Grasshopper! ;>)
The way it works, I have to put in the request to Sebastien at Zenith and he has the software to plug-in the forums. The request is in to him - he usually responds fairly quickly.
John
Hi John, My CH750 STOL partially completed plane came with a Continental o-200 that had a field OH and then the widow threw away the documentation. I will have many questions as I tear it apart. I vote yea on the Continental engine group.
We're going to add Continental and Lycoming ... just waiting on Sebastien to plug them in.
John
Any idea of schedule? I realize a workshop is today/tomorrow, and I'm sure he's been busy with Alaska and other projects.
