Do your research. I think you will determine that if you want folding wings you will learn that Zenith is not a very good option. Kitfox and Just Aircraft have airplanes with wings that fold neatly and easily.

I am not familiar with other makes or models but as Ken states, my take after examining the Zenith folding wing kit for my 701 is that it was designed to facilitate moving the aircraft from your build site to an airport hangar for final assembly and test flight. I would not want to use it routinely. 

I don’t believe Zenith sells completed airplanes unless that recently changed.

Zero experience with the folding option, but some have said that, due to the amount of disassembly required (nuts and bolts and not quick release pins) to fold the wings and having to drain the fuel tanks, one might as well skip the folding wings option and simply remove the wings entirely and rest them on purpose-built cradles for trailering.  As Jim points out, it works for a major move, but not routine folding and frequent reassembly.

I've been wrenching on aircraft for over 55 years.  27 years certificating amateur-built and light sport aircraft as DAR (1200 certifications).

I NEVER recommend using a folding wing option routinely.  Every time you unfold wings to fly is a test flight.  You are putting a lot of wear removing and replacing critical attach hardware, and there's always a chance of missing a clip or pin each time.

My 2.5 cents worth.
