O-200 Resurrection
I am headed to Tucson to resurrect a Ch601 project. The engine was said to have been overhauled but sat for many years. The seller furnished no engine logs but among the build logs I found a folder with "Authorized Release Certificates" dating back to early 2011 from Teledyne Continental Motors for:
(1) Set Crankshaft Bearing PN 530058A4 "New"
(4) Piston=4.06 Dia,6.3:1 PN654841 "New"
(12) Bearing-Conn Rod PN 639640 "New"
(6) Pin & Plug ASM-Piston PN 530830 "New"
(7) Ring Set-Piston Single PN 649632A1 "New"
(15) Plug 1.88 Hubbard Expan PN 24770 "New"
The engine has not been oiled up and started since the overhaul. I do not know if it was properly pickled before its long slumber. I'm hoping the Tucson air (also hangar kept) was dry enough to not cause too much harm.
Can anyone point me to a comprehensive list of procedures I can do to try and bring this engine back to service, safely?
