Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
In response to the blogs on the rear of the bubble door flying out in flight - mine did that also so I designed a quick and easy fix. Fabricated latches from "U and L" channel. Posted pictures as it's easier to show the pics than explain. On thing needs to be clarified - I put in the extra "L" bracket pc to make a positive up latch on the inside of the "U" channel so the pin won't fall down when closing. I"ll probably add a loop of "550 cord" to pull on to facilitate "pulling in the door" when closing. As an addendum, I did that on the front latch of my 701 and it makes it a lot better. Also put an A5 rivet in the side of the latch plate which acts as a safety as it goes over center. Wish I had done a better paint job but it will do for now.

If you decide to repaint the latch, you might consider powdercoat. It's a lot more durable on high-wear items like latches.

"550 cord?" Term a parachute rigger would use.
Looks good.
