Naturally I had to sit in them and daydream for a few minutes. They're really comfortable - almost fell asleep.

Sooo much easier to make airplane noises when you're comfortable! :>)

Love the headrests!

Very nice!

Jim, glad you are happy. It looks however that you have the seats swapped... the wiring for the seat heaters and the pump for the lumbar support should be outboard.. The seats are also constructed with a taper that matches the contour of the airframe.

Was also curious; what is the piano hinge behind the seating area there? Is that for access behind the seats?

Best Regards,

Robert

Ha ha - thanks for catching that :-)  The seats have been back in the box since that day. I'm finishing up the canopy this week hopefully then it's just avionics and engine cowling then time to take it to the airport.

Yes, the hinge is for a panel. It opens full span. I plan on putting a cloth/upholstered storage compartment behind each seat and the middle will be open for access to the space.

Hello Jim,

Your storage mod is VERY cool. If I could go back I would definitely steal your idea.
