Anyone else out there bang their tail on take-off? I decided I need a tail skid for my 750 and wondering if anyone else out there has already designed and installed something to protect the rudder. Photos and comments are appreciated before I tackle this project. Thanks!

There are a few videos of Ch701/750's with tail skids

I got this tail skid from Spruce.  Cheap, lightweight, and works great!John

I'm using the same thing.

Thanks John for the tip, I just added one to my "cart", did you have any issues getting it firmly attached? I'd guess it mounts right over the tie down loop, am I correct?

As you can see, the skid has a generous slot, so I had to put a washer between the skid slot and the eye of the tie-down.  As I recall, I also put a firm rubber washer between the skid and the fuselage to make it more resistant to deflecting or twisting and prevent wear on the bottom of the fuselage skin.

I use the same thing. Mounts with the tail tie down ring. Its great.
