Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
Matco has two similar type of compression tees, both of which are sold by Aircraft Spruce. I would like to know if there is a preferred type for brake fittings. See the attached pics for the two types.
One appears to have a brass ferrule and the other a nylon one. I have installed a couple of the nylon ones already and then I came across the brass ferrule ones, which got me wondering.
Is one more correct or appropriate for brake lines?
FYI, the nylon one is part #MCS269P.
The brass ferrule is part #MSC169P. (costs twice as much as the other one)
Thx,
Gary

mine came from Matco and they are all brass
Isn't the nylon ferrule used with the nylon brake lines? As I recall, that's what I received in the Zenith kit and they have worked great for 300+ hrs!

Mine were white nylon as I recall, the connectors are brass. I had no issues with them so far and I've pushed them hard during testing.
