Hi Guys.
Anyone flying a 750 with an 0-200 and a whirlwind GA 200cn propeller, I am looking confirmation of use and validation to submit to the LAA in the U.K. for this combination.
The only 750s flying on the permit to fly scheme similar to the US experimental certification have Rotax engines fitted with the corresponding propellers on the approved list
Can anyone help

Hello Thomas, I have that same configuration pitched to 13 degrees. With a Vetterman exhaust I'm getting around 2500 RPM static. This is more of a cruise pitch, I get about 85MPH TAS at 3000ft. If you need better climb I have tested the prop down to 11.8 degrees, but cruise took a big hit. Let me know what other information you need, glad to help! Clint
Hi Clint,
Thank you very much for responding to my post, by coincidence we happened upon a YouTube video from a couple of years ago where you visited the Zenith factory.
I am a scratch builder like yourself and I must say that you have done an amazing job on your 750 . The information that you have provided on the propeller is extremely valuable so thank you for that, just a couple of more questions if I may, what size wheels and tyres are you using, and also are you using the 1080HD bungee, did you fit the 2 inch nose wheel spacer and what propeller clearance have you obtained with your set up.
Thanks Again,
Best Regards,
Tom Carlin
Hi Tom, Thanks for the positive comments! I'm still having a great time flying my little airplane, never gets old! I'm using Cruzer wheels and tires, 5.00x5. I installed the Viking Steel Bungee, It's adjustable and been flawless. I made a spacer approximately 2" thick to provide around 9 1/2" of prop clearance. I fly from a paved runway so It's been no problem so far. I do plan to run more turf runways soon, so I'll be upgrading to some 6.00x6" wheels and tires soon. Glad to hear of another scratch builder! Not many of us around! Its quite a long project but worth every minute spent! Keep me updated on your progress! -Clint
Hi Thomas,
have you had much luck with Zenith providing the comms. As I am upgrading my C90 to a warp drive. And have not had much luck with the coms.
Ged.
Hi Ged,
Thanks for responding to my enquiry, at the time of posting I am not in receipt of any response from the tech help desk
Some information that you might find helpful,I am trying to gain approval got the fitment of a whirlwind propeller to my scratch built Zenith ch 750, on checking the approved list of props on the LAA U.K. website under which scheme I will be seeking a permit to fly, there was a notice that warp drive props had been removed as a choice when the intended use was the attachment to a direct drive engine as the power pulses were deemed to have produced serious cracks in the prop hub, the fitment to other engines with other types of drive that would absorb the power pulses was still approved,Hope you find this helpful
Best Regards,
Tom Carlin
