Hi Ari, I saw your picture of your Foot, I am sure you had a lot of pain to deal with but hope it's all OK now. Speedy recovery and happy flying soon. Tks Wayne
Sorry to be so slow in befriending you. Ive not looked at the Zenith website for a long time. Thanks for your comments. I can only beat those young guns with the big motors and tyres in the STOL competition if they miss the mark on their landing and I am on target! Being lighter, I can stop a little quicker than them, so there is always hope!
Ari,
of all the Beanie mods I have seen I like yours probably the best. I would be very interested in any information you might have to help me replicate it on my 701.
thanks,
Lonny M. Kirk
Fred Burg had an easy way to expand his 701 cockpit.

Hi Ari,
I haven't played with the heating in my 701. I know that it is way TOO COLD as all temps are way TOO LOW in the winter. I will have to install a winter kit if I want to see those needles reach a nice WARM temp. As is, I never saw more than 130 for oil and 50 for water coolant. These are never enough to warm anything... Having an auto conversion engine, I dont worry abot those low temps (shock cooling) but the PILOT NEVER gets WARM..That I really hate. This will have to wait for next year as summer is coming...Soon hopefully !
Regards,
Norm
Hi Ari,
Well you know Americans...what they didn't invent...they dont use !
Same for me, The inside Beanie is covered with insulating aluminum/plastic kinda wrap...I used this material in the doors and around the luggage area.Works real good and stop noises ...especially oilcanning and warms up the place.
Regards,
Norm
