Hiya Deane - Congrats on the win. I just finished building my 750STOL and love it. We have a NZ trip in the planning ( still some months out) and if you're agreeable and available, I'd like to stop by and take a look at your 701. You can reach me at : sdflyer@twc.com . I'm in San Diego. Regards, Steve Davis
how about a bunch of closeups of your rear (tail dragger guard) looks very interesting.i want a closer look if you could...tks greg
I am starting to think about paint and it is something I'm struggling over.... I need to start reading up on the subject as I plan on painting it myself. I like fun colors like the reds and yellows but also like the racy looks of the different combinations of blues with silver or polished metal. I don't think the 750 looks as good with too much polished metal. That's why I like that color of blue on your plane and limited areas polished metal... Happy flying!!!!
hi Deane - when's your new toy due in country? every one keen to see another 701 join the local ranks, cheers - Colly

Hello,
Welcome to the "club"
Where will you base your 701? My 701 ZMX is hangared at Omaka. There is another in Motueka, one in Hokatika and one or two in the Canterbury Region.
There is an unofficial / informal 701 "club" organised by Glyn Jackson in New Plymouth (Owner of ZK-JLZ) which he purchased from the West Coast. He has organised a number of trips over the past year including a great one around the Southern Alps/ Westland this last winter which unfortunately I missed being away.
You'd be welcome to join up.
