Hi Cedric! At last it flew! I am so glad it went well, I have 25 hrs to fly off. Looking forward to getting used to the plane. How is your plane going? It seems like yesterday you were down here. I'm sure you are glad to be home. Where are you based ? I think Doug said something about Illinois Valley? Hope all is well, take care, Jim

Hello Cedric,

Are you still working in Cloverdale on your 801? You must be almost done now. I need to come by and say hello.

Hey, I have been doing great. I have a little boy now named Chasen (Chase for short) that has taken a bunch of my flying time. He will be 6 mos. in Feb, but I don't regret giving up flying time for him at all. I have managed to get up and around when the fog breaks, even had a chance to fly in the rain which is unusual around here (not much wind or fog). I'd like to come out and see the bird some time. Is it at IV?

Hey Cedric, not sure if I answered your email.
I have an O-360, 180HP with Sensenich 76" x 54" fixed pitch. Yesterday I averaged 97 knots grounds speed. I made fairings for the wings struts & I'm now making more fairings for the horizontal stab. I'm in KSPA. Spartanburg, SC.

I never checked fuel burn at max rpm, but I will. I have the gen 3 gear box and it runs nice and cool, although a little more noise at idle rpm.

Great news. Keep me posted. The new, larger radiators solved my cooling problems and adding VG's to the elevator has improved my landings.
