Hello Ron,
My 601 HD is now finished and flying, (but not yet painted) Unfortunately not with me since 1 July when I was grounded until I can clear up my "problem" with my Cardiologist. It looks as if I won't get clearance from him until end of Nov. so I guess it is time to put it away for the winter. I do enjoy winter flying so live in hope that I will get a few nice days to do some early next year. George

Hello Ron

Yes I am just starting a 650, I have started with the engine, I purchased 3 engines an EA-81, EA-82 (cannot use in this plane), and a Corvair. I will be using the Corvair. I have it all apart.

As for the plane, I have purchased the prints. I also went through the prints and took each part and scaled, then overlaid it onto scaled sheets using microsoft visio. I might turn the visio files into pdf files and give them to whoever wants to use it to build a 650, Zenith does not include a sheet count or how the parts should be cut out of each sheet.

I will probably order my aluminum next week so I can started, I am very busy with work right now but it will start to slow down soon, I will post some pics of the engine.

What plane did you build before?

Hi Ron
I know who Sam is, do not know him personally. I has within days of buying a 701 and the deal fell through. So I am focusing on my flight training, and learning as much as I can about this amaizing little plane.

Hi Fred
Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. Have not done much work on the project, since work is really getting in the way!!! Still on the sidelines waiting for more info on the problems the wing "might" have.
Ron
