Welcome to the Zodiac family. There have been a lot of nice changes from my 601XL to the 650 but if picking my brain helps you out, be my guest. Mine is still fairly low time (150hrs) with a Jabiru 3300 hydr. lifter and Sensenich 64" GA prop. Hanger ex at 3R2. Call email or visit anytime.

I saw your post on the main page.  I would suggest starting a topic in the 601/650 forum instead.  Lots of info here: http://sportpilottalk.com/viewtopic.php?p=5234

Welcome to the family.

I wish you the all the best with your project. If you ever get the chance to visit the Zenith factory please take the time to stop by our builder assist facility too. We are their newest and nearest builder assist facility and like to have visitors. We are right here in Mexico, Mo., not far from the factory and we will be at the Open Hangar Event in 2 weeks.

Hope to see you there.

Take care and good luck,

Bill Carter

You can view my progress on mykitlog.com/ldward.   This is a good software tool for logging construction progress and is easy to use.  I decided to buy the component kits since they often make changes and this way I get all the updated parts.  If I had ordered the entire kit when I started the tail kit, I would now have to install the upgrade kit so I'm glad I decided this path.  Hopefully there will not be any more changes/updates for some time.

Hi Greg.  I live in East Texas  in a small town named Hallsville.   It is just east of Longview.  I too am building a 650.  I have completed the tail kit and I am now working on fuselage.  I am about 30% complete with fuselage.  I will be going to the Open Hanger day with a builder friend in September and bringing back my spar assembly, rudder pedals/toe brake assembly and parts needed to dual stick conversion.  I am using the HomeBuildHelp video series to help with building.  These videos are a real help and I would recommend you get them.  If I can be of any assistance please let me know and I will tell you what I know.  Happy Building!
