hi Bob things work a little different down under in New Zealand it would take 3-4 months to go through the process you describe I have a very good local Rotax service agent with all the puller tools so its just a matter of getting the parts in from over seas a week or two

The sprag clutch replacement is normally done by removing just the gear box from the engine. Bob Robertson of Light Engine Services sends you the special ROTAX tools to remove the sprag clutch. You send him the clutch to rebuild and he sends the rebuilt unit back. Then you send the tools back to him at Light Engine Services.
having the engine off sucks, had mine off over xmas.
