I have found that the installation of the outer skin of the 701 stabilizer, is much easier to accomplish, if done as per the 750 instructions. Do the top flat section first, then do the lower curved surface

Much, much, easier, to get the skin to wrap around tightly. However the procedure, or credit, is not mine. I just copied this new technique, that has been put in place for the new 750.

Your way of skinning the stabilizer seems the most reasonable to me.
