New 701 panel frame with panel inserts and gussets in place. Looking better... ready for nut plates and can start cutting the instrument holes.

Bill

Beware... the 750 panel is not the same size as the 701!    The 750 panel appears to have a lot rounder shape to allow for more side view for the wind screen!  I just found that the 701 panel did not have enough heigth so that is why I added that extra 50mm...

Thanks, Ron, for the clarification.  I am building the 750 which appears to have the same size panel and will double check those plans to be sure I will not have a similar problem.

Hey Bill

If you look at my panel photos you wil see a copy of the original side gussets!  Now this drawing in in error... the gusset is short by 20mm, I found this out when I added the 50mm to the panel height!  I just added 50mm to the lenght of the gusset and lo and behold it was too short... so I began by amking up the original on eand found out that it was 20mm short.  Why this was never upgraded on the drawings... leaves a lot to be desired!   Ther are a lot of errors on the drawings that need to be cleaned up!

So I made up a completely new gusset and that is what you see in the photos... it is 50mm + 20mm longer in length!

Are the two side brackets also mods or are they part of the original drawings?  If part of your mod, did you determine that additional support was required on each side of the panel?
