Ready for Prelim. Weight and Balance. Based on the results of stock and with a 1.5"spacer on the engine mount, I am adding a welded spacer 1.5 "long to the front of the mount. This centers the CG range for heavier people. Thanks for the advice Jan!

I'm planning the same however, being a glutton for punishment, I plan to fabricate my own.
Hi Douglas, The early EAA design colleges in the late 70's and 80's stressed a large radius wing root fairing in a low wing plane as a drag reducer. Several Zenith Zodiac builders have commented on high drag and sink rate with power off.
I purchased these fairings made by another builder - right fairing was trimmed, left was un-trimmed. I am now trimming and prepping them for attachment to the fuselage. I plan to install a line of knurled aluminum nutserts in the fuselage and use SS machine screws and washers to retain. That will allow me to compare drag performance with and without. I'm looking for a few more knots, especially power off. LZ
Larry, what's up with your wing root fairing?
