There are elev/stab spars, flaperon spars, wing rear spar channels, fuselage longerons... not to many so I will just build another one 3' longer... and dismantle after use, no big deal. The spar material is only 0.025 except for the 4  wing rear spar channels... 0.032!  The cost is about $75 for the 8' one. I will be keeping the 5' one as it works great for aluminum and quite rugged... not what I expected.  The bulk of parts to be bent can be done with the 5' break, the rudder spar is 4.25'(the longest part).  Please note is you have to know how to use it... it took me a bit of work to figure it out... point is you build it simple.  I was trying to build this break like it was something difficult to use... it isn't!   I tried to build the full 8' one first... that was a disaster.  So I built one 6" long... kept it simple and then built the 5' one.  Spent over a year messing around with the 8" one.  Took me about 2 hours to figure out the 6" one and about another 1 hour to build the 5' one... biggest job was cutting the would!  The key is to use CLEAR Douglas fir... straight as an arrow and very tough stuff to drill, hard on 1/8" drill bits!

Hi Ron. My wife is from Morden, Manitoba and her sister lives in Winnipeg. Hopefully I will get to pay you a visit sometime if it would be alright. I am having a bit of difficulty navigating around this site so forgive me if I ask about things you have already commented on. What will you do when it is time to bend spars? I believe they are 8 feet long? My email is ptech1983@yahoo.com if that would be an easier way to communicate. Thanks!

Yes... 4' angles!  If you can bend 4' - 0.040  then that is good enough... you won't be bending anything thicker then 0.040!

Nice job. Did you ever try the longer break?
