In 601xl I  install a Gear box with ratio 1:2.5 , plane is faster then Stol , so prob will be more efficent .

Very cool!  As a regular user of a BMW 1100 without wings, I'm also curious about how you adapted the engine, performance, weight and balance, etc.

Congratulations on 1st flight. Your BMW install is interesting. What type of redrive do you have there? Looks like you have a 701 flying with a BMW as well? 

Could you post your performance #'s on the 701 with the BMW, climb, cruise, total empty weight?
