Pretty scary find. I guess its best to have a second set of eyes inspect prior to closure.
There is no 'WOW'!!!
Yes the plane was flying. I believe the rivets are cherry steel rivets. I've drilled out about a thousand so far. Been replacing them with avex rivets. Also taking all the skins loose and checking for other build issues. So far this has been the worst I've seen. It was ground looped and looks to have been rebuilt very quick and sloppy. Then was looped a second time or the gear just collapsed.
Wow! The pulled rivets that did get installed don't look like avex rivets. This was a flying plane at one time? I hope the rest of the repair goes better for you!
