Roy Szarafinski. He has a web site. Roysgarage.com I'm sure his number is on there.

Brad or Jon could you give me some info on Roy please

John,

I totally agree. I learned a great deal too.  I'm sure my engine is better than what I could have done on my own and I definitely feel better about maintaining it.

Bryan,

I haven't figured up my cost as of yet and the run on the dyno was just a break in, not more than that.

+1 on working one-on-one with Roy.  I learned many things that weekend in his shop that resulted in a far better product than if I had assembled it on my own.

Nice! About what is your cost on building the engine so far, and what were the "real" numbers on the dyno?

Comment by Brad W. Eikenbary on March 25, 2015 at 9:06am

Assembled it with Roy at Roy's Garage in Osseo Michigan.  We then ran it on his dyno.  I was great working one on one with Roy.  I am very pleased with how it turned out.  Just about to get the gear on the fuselage an have the plane rolling.  That will feel like a big step.

The corvair is the 3L version, 120 hp.

Looking good. Where was this assembled? Which HP option did you choose?
