We use the odyssey batteries in all of our squad cars. Any other battery we have to jump start them all the time. Since we installed the odyssey all is good. Very nice product IMO

I recommend the PC680 size, unless a different one fits your needs better. These are electrolyte starved batteries, similar to gel cell. They can be mounted at any angle. Not affected by extreme temperatures, lots of cranking amps at low temperature. I have used these batteries in 3 different aircraft over 14 yrs with excellent results.
The question is, why did the battery explode? Was it overcharged? Does anyone actually know or have an answer? I was going to buy one for my plane but if it is going to be a hazard i will reconsider.
