Hi Chris - No, that's the ELT on the belly. Someone said a NTSB investigator said that more than half the time the plane is belly-up in a crash, so it was very convenient to locate the antenna there near the ELT. It's a stainless whip, so pretty rugged. If you look at the "Full Size" picture carefully, you can just see a bit of the white antenna behind where the wing meets the fuselage. And you're right, my face is sore from grinning! LOL!
congrats on your beautiful plane, home and area. please tell us how she flew without slats and with them. is that your com antenna on the belly. now the fun begins discovering all the places you cant go in a cessna. i bet you cant stop smiling
best chris
It was a big kick to make the first flight off my 2100' strip at our farm! I can assure you that 2100' is waaay more than adequate! LOL! That's my house in the background. You can see the east rim of the Sequatchie Valley in the distance - we're right in the head of the Valley - quite a scenic area - THAT's why I wanted the 750 - low and slow and great visibility to take in the scenery!
Congratulations!
