Chris Brown was kind enough to let me fly with him in his newly completed 750 from AJO, Ca. to my dirt strip at Landers, Ca, and then to Big Bear Airport, Ca (L35), He plopped it down in my 1,000 dirt strip first time no problem, and capped it off with a 9,000 DA departure at full gross from Big Bear, climbing to 9,200 ft to clear mountains and drop me off at AJO. Quite a treat, quite a plane, quite a pilot.

Was a great flight! Started with VFR over the LA basin overcast to a hole by Corona to get Walt. Then a some scud running until we popped out of Banning Pass into bright blue skys near Palm Springs and onto Walts strip. Then over to an old dirt strip called Giant Rock where we got blasted by a rotor from the hill that its near. Then climbed up to 8000 into Big Bear with an climb airspeed of 75mph and a groundspeed of 39. Big Bear had gusty 20 knot wind on takeoff and then got hammered over the dam from the winds around the mountains, then all calmed down and smooth to Corona with the hole in the overcast still there. Dropped off Walt and got on top again back to Brain Ranch just before nightfall. Fantastic day!
