Hello. Just spotted your photo. Late last year when signing off my 701 my engineer insisted that I did a nose down residual fuel test and to my horror at 10deg down pitch, there was around 30 liters left in the tank when the flow stopped at the carb. I have a Czech kit with larger tanks that go to the back channel and hold 45l useable. I wrote to zenith and put up a discussion. Zenith said that for their tanks it wasn't a problem and a number of flyers commented that normal approaches are relatively nose high.... And so far I have got down to 15 litres each side with no problem either. I am yet to test at altitude on lower amounts. I wished I had done what you have done with outlets both ends for piece of mind at least, but too late now, didn't think about it at the time ...followed the plans. I have the option of installing a collector tank behind the passenger seat a la the Savannah.
