Very interested to see how you go with the engine - good to see what it might look like.  Do you know others who have a Rotec flying in a 750?

This mockup setup is using an R3600/150hp at 275lbs installed  FWF  but my  engine choice will most probably be the R2800/110hp  225lbs installed so it will be about 20lbs heavier than an O-200. I should be okay by being a smaller guy (150lbs) -:)   I'll be fluing by myself most of the time anyways. Im looking at building an 801 after this one.

The prop on there is constant speed prop just for show....I was trying to make it look as close to a Beaver as possible.  My choice of prop will be a 3  blade at 68 inches as recommended by Rotec for my application..

They say if I could swing a 76' on floats that would be ideal. The longer the better on those engines.

The R3600 is an option  but the gross weight would suffer no doubt.

I love building...so that cowling will be a real English wheel challenge...

I have made many alterations of my  design comparing the DHC2 Beaver to my 750 design,,,but I dont want to pollute this site with mockups...I just need to BUILD IT for real.   -:)

This prop "looks better"...you are a photo shop Wizard. Any idea what this setuo empty weight would be? It looks heavy....."cool".
